conformist; cos it's a realistic world we live in

You got to be pretty to get the hunk
You got to be macho to get the chick
You got to be famous to become an idol
You got to be rich to be recognised by people
You got to be smart to survive
You need to have the latest gadgets to be in the trend
You need to have alot of friends on fb to show/increase your popularity
but really, You got to be who they want you to be, in order to be accepted

Sometimes, life just annoys me
We are always bombarded with the new/latest trend society sets
and we need to follow or perhaps, have already subconsciously followed
What happened to the naive and pure person we onced used to be?
Until everything changes around us and coerced us to follow their rules
What happened to the past where young girls at the age of 7 don't feel the need to mask their faces?
Until media demands that we need to be pretty/muscular
What happened to the onced understanding us when we love each other for who they are
Until the world forces us to condemn one another and look down on those of "lower value" than us
All that has happened and is going to happen soon or later
will soon change who we are and what we will become

Often, we try to advance ourselves with new technologies or new mentality
to become more opened such as abortion, euthanasia, same-sex marriages
but is that really advancement?
are we crossing the line?
Maybe we should go back to basics
where these problems hardly even existed in the first place...

I can hardly imagine what the world will be like in 50 years down the road
where ethnics, principles, beliefs, moral will soon be diminished

We always talk about society, society blah blah
but who create the society?
Us?
Who changes the society and its stereotypical-thinking
Us?

It's a world where majority always win
where majority has the final say
The minority almost always loses, but don't lose hope
cos one day down the road, the minority will become the very majority

I asked myself this question quite alot of time
"Why do I have to live my life that satisfies this world?"
Then I realised that this is simply an outlet or mask for me
not to feel guilty that I actually do feel the need to comply to the rules set in the world
Becos really, The answer to that question is simply No
But the only breakdown from that question is
Are you willing to do it?
Are you willing to withstand the sufferings or isolation that comes along with it

hmmm, I wish
yet this very "wish" sets a burden in my heart
Tear me apart in who I want to be
